This unit has a slightly smaller profile for easier fit in the hollow back of a 12mm module housing when being used for under 2.5A settings connected directly to the diode pins if that is the goal. Higher currents require heatsinking and then not much difference between this and the 5500 model except this can only do 4.5A and the 5500 can do 5.5A.
